From wheelchair to tricycle

With the pre-tensioner, the two castors of the wheelchair are raised, which significantly improves the off-road mobility. Whether cobblestones, gravel and dirt paths, uneven or muddy trails, these nightmare-inducing conditions no longer become an obstacle!

Handbikes have a significant benefit for their riders. Due to the various movements that occur while riding, the muscles can be built up and physical coordination trained.

Hub gear

The hub gear brings many advantages. On the one hand, the wear and the associated maintenance effort is greatly reduced. On the other hand, the gearshift is protected from external influences due to the design. On top of that, the gears can also be shifted through while standing.

Break V-break and Coaster brake Stricker handbikes and power assist devices are always equipped with double mechanical brakes such as coaster brake, V-brake and disc brake. If there is only one type of brake, it is double equipped, e.g. with two brake calipers on one disc brake or one disc brake and one V-brake. In addition, at least one of the existing brakes can be locked in order to park the handbike or power assist device. This ensures full safety.

The ergonomically mounted crank handle provides the drive.The handle lies comfortably in the hand, so that a longer distance can be covered without cramps in the palm of the hand.

Shimano hub gears

The Shimano hub gear, which is located in the wheel hub, provides a reliable, sophisticated shifting of the available gears. Due to the placement in the wheel hub, the gearshift is protected from external influences.

Ergonomic handles

The comfortable ergo grips are cleverly mounted so that the centre of gravity is central to the axis of the hand crank.

Bike computer

The bike computer displays various information on a black and white display. The following information is displayed on it: current, maximum and average speed, riding distance, riding time and total kilometers.

Front light

An LED lamp at the front provides illumination of the roadway. It is supplied with power via commercially available batteries.

Taillight

The rear light is mounted on the back of the wheelchair. The lighting is operated by a button cell and switched on and off by a switch on the rear light.

Stricker clamping system

With our specially developed Stricker clamp system, our handbikes and power assist devices are quick and easy to attach to any wheelchair - and usually without adapters or modifications to the wheelchair. The wheelchair or owner change can thus take place easily and within a very short time.

The diverse adjustment possibilities of the frame in conjunction with the clamp allow attachment to countless frame shapes, profiles and angles.

Stricker frame

The frame on the Stricker handbikes and power assist devices, which is made of high-grade bicycle steel with chrome-molybdenum alloy, can be adapted to all needs thanks to the wide range of adjustment options. The frame also allows adaptation with the Stricker clamping system to almost all wheelchairs even without adapters, conversions or stems.

Since many motor skills are often severely limited or no longer function, classic mechanical inputs such as turning the twist grip or pulling the brake cable must be rethought and revised. That is why we offer tetra equipment for most of our handbikes and traction devices. In this equipment form, our products meet the high requirements of tetraplegia without compressing safety aspects.

Coaster brake

Planetary gear

The planetary gearbox doubles the available gears and is used for reduction. This is especially useful on hills, on steep slopes, or when there is less power in the arms. It is used in both chain and toothed belt drives.

Foldable chin gear shift

The chin gear shift makes it possible to shift through the gears via the chin. The chinstrap can also be temporarily folded away for comfortable adaptation of the handbike to create space.

Instead of the usual 7-speed gearbox, an 8-speed gearbox is installed.

Tetra equipment

In this equipment form, our products meet the high requirements of tetraplegia without compressing safety aspects. Further information can be found under the menu item Tetra equipment.

Children/Youth equipment

In children's or youth equipment, the handbike or power assist device is adapted to the body size. For example, the axle distance and the crank length are changed. The children's/youth equipment is also suitable for microsomia.
